I have a faw of AAC and MP3 streams that fail to buffer with the following error message:
Error: couldn't read this stream.
At some point they start to operate again.

So far we haven’t experienced such issues with the stations we are listen to. What you described seems to be problems with the streaming server. Many internet radio stations are just hobby activities of their owners so issues can happen.
if it was Eter issue then we would have more such feedback from the users.
Anyway we will have our eyes and ears open, so we definitely check that especially the streams you provided.

I don’t believe it’s a case of poor stream. Those streams I mentioned load instantaneously via Eter app on iOS and Apple TV. Just the Mac app (both ARM and Intel) fail to load them as described in my initial post.
