Offer the option of being notified when a planned/scheduled transaction (including recurring) is about to occur.
This could be implemented as a Transaction option (ideally), or as a global setting (i.e. to cover all transactions). Something as simple as notify X days in advance would be sufficient.
Maybe there already is a way of achieving this (in which case, I apologise).
