This update enhances chart visualizations and improves the overall user experience with better dark mode support and more accurate data display. We’ve focused on making charts more informative and visually appealing while fixing several issues that could show incorrect data.
- IMPROVE: Category Breakdown charts now use better 10 distinct colors instead, making it much easier to distinguish between different categories in your financial reports
- IMPROVE: Category Breakdown charts’s tooltip now highlights the name and amount of hovered bar segment, making it easier to see what group or category that is
- IMPROVE: Category Breakdown charts can now properly display negative values below the zero line with a clear baseline and net indicator diamond
- IMPROVE: Reconcile section now shows helpful error messages when you try to edit calculated balances, clearly explaining that only past manual starting balances can be modified
- FIX: Chart date labels now display correctly for users in time zones east of UTC (previously showed incorrect dates)
- FIX: Dark mode text is now clearly visible when editing reconcile balances (was showing dark text on dark background)
- FIX: Category Breakdown graph now remembers whether you selected Income or Expenses when switching between reports or changing time scales
- FIX: Chart totals and tables now update correctly when changing time horizons or scales in Category Breakdown report
