On macOS, the mic symbol lights up every ~10 seconds when using the Shazam feature in Eter Radio. Is there any way to stop (hide) this other than deactivating Shazam / audio access?
Also, I can’t seem to access a mini player (paid for the full version). Is there a special shortcut for it?
As far the orange flashing mic icon is concerned. Yes, that is how Shazam works. It checks the stream, but keeps mic on in case there is nothing on the stream. This is how Shazam API works, and we can to nothing about it.
As far as the mini player is concerned, did you activated it in Settings?

Hi Krystian. Then the flashing Mic is too distracting and I’ll simply deactivate the Mic for Eter and skip the Shazam feature. Thank you
As for the mini player: yes, it is activated. I can’t see it. macOS 15.6.1, Eter 2.8.1 - the large window works fine though.
As for Shazam, you can turn it on just to recognize currently playing song and then turn it off.
Do you have Mini Player set as detached or attached to menu bar? And did you try both options?
Shazam: check.
Mini-Player: yes, it was attached to the menu bar. I did not see it due to bartender and didn’t know it was hiding there. So for anyone looking for the mini player: activate in settings and check the menu bar. Thank you, Krystian.
