I really like the idea behind this app, but I feel that an important part of the Apple ecosystem experience is currently missing: beautiful, functional widgets.
On iOS, the widgets feel very limited. I was hoping for something more Apple-style: clean, aesthetic, and informative, similar to the system media widgets. For example:
• A widget that clearly shows which radio station is currently playing
• Auto-updating cover art (track artwork if detectable, or at least the station’s custom cover)
• A widget that shows recently played tracks (history)
• A widget with most played / favorite radio stations
• A real-time “Now Playing” widget, even if metadata is limited
The situation on Apple Watch is even more basic. There’s a huge opportunity to improve the experience with:
• A Now Playing view for radio
• Quick access to favorite stations
• Updated artwork or station branding
Even if live track detection isn’t always possible, showing the station artwork provided by the user would already be a big step forward.
In short, widgets (and Watch support) feel like a missed opportunity right now. Improving them would greatly enhance usability and give the app a much more native Apple ecosystem feel.
I hope this feedback helps and that widgets can be a focus in future updates.
